This page explains getting started with your study at Victorian School of Languages.
At the beginning of Term 1, your teacher will contact you directly to introduce her/himself and explain in more detail the course requirements.
A package of printed material will be posted to your home address at the begining of each semseter.
The printed Coursebook is the primary document for your study. Divided into weekly worksets it includes teaching notes and explanations, reading texts and activities.
Printed copy of Work for Submission
If you are studying Arabic, Chinese, Greek, Classical Greek or Japanese you will also recieve a printed copy of all Work for Submission. It contains the activities that must be handwritten and submitted to your teacher.
You can also download these document as a PDFs from the Resource Library in the VSL Course app.
If you do not recieve these materials please tell your teacher.
Use the VSL course app to:
When the download is complete open the EXE file and select Run.
When the download is complete open the DMG file and launch the VSLCourseApp Installer
(You may need to change the security settings on your computer to allow the Course app to be installed.
Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy and then allow apps downloaded from: and select Mac App Store and identified developers.)
Once installed you should have the VSL Course App icon on your desktop/launch bar:

Your login details for the app are created when your enrolment is completed. Usernames are the email address entered on the enrolment form. Passwords can also be entered on the enrolment form. If no passowrd is provided the system generates a random password.
When you are allocated to a class an email will be sent to the address provided when enrolling. It includes your app login details.

For VCE courses, several day-long Seminars are conducted through the year.
